There's news for fans of Detroit's iconic Dutch Girl Donuts. The iconic doughnut shop on Woodward Ave.binggopg777, with the blue awning is honoring its past and bringing back a long-standing tradition.
Starting Tuesday, Dutch Girl Donuts will return to 24-hour service offering a chance to indulge in their iconic sweets when the carving hits any time of the day.
Dutch Girl Donuts reopened in early May under new ownership after shuttering more than two years ago.Paddy Lynch, a well-known Detroiter bought the long-standing doughnut shop at 19000 Woodward Ave., from the Timmer family.
"Going back to 24-hour service is our way of honoring the past and strengthening our connection with the community," Paddy Lynch said in a news release. "We're excited to be there for our customers, whether they're early risers or night owls, offering the same high-quality, joy-inducing donuts Dutch Girl has always been known for."
Lynch is a third-generation funeral director with Lynch and Sons, operating several metro Detroit funeral homes, and is also the owner of Detroit’s historic bathhouse, The Schvitz.

On Tuesday, Dutch Girl Donuts will be open 24 hours a day, six days a week and closed on Mondays. New hours are 6 a.m. Tuesday to Sunday 6 p.m. The store will be closed starting at 6 p.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. Tuesday.
While customers can expect the same tasty doughnuts now any time of the day, six days a week, but they can also pair the sweets with another iconic brand. The doughnut shop also teamed up with Becharas Brothers Coffee Co., a more than 100-year-old well-known company, Highland Park coffee roaster.
