The wait is over for fans of the fast-food chain Chick-fil-A in Roseville. Chick-fil-A's newest metro-Detroit location is set to open Thursday on Gratiot Avenue.

Roseville's new Chick-fil-A restaurant is located at 32061 Gratiot Ave. Chick-fil-A is known for its signature fried or grilled chicken sandwiches with a pickle and special sauce, waffle fries and a menu of salads, sides and breakfast items.

The new Roseville location will be open 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out service. Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.

Roseville's Chick-fil-A's owner/operator is Josh Holbrooks, who started in 2019 with the company at a Hickory, North Carolina location.

Holbrooks became an executive director and helped the brand expand to Up North Michigan where he became the executive director of operations for the first Chick-fil-A in Traverse City.

Fast food giant Chick-fil-A expected to add 25-30 Michigan stores by the end of 2028.

When the Roseville location opens on Thursday, Holbrooks will honor "100 local heroes" who are making an impact in metro Detroit with free Chick-fil-A entrees for a year.

As with other new openings,  Chick-fil-A, Inc. has partnered with Feeding America, donating $25,000 to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan and Forgotten Harvest, to support hunger relief.

The Roseville location, like other Chick-fil-A restaurants, will also support the company's Shared Table program which donates surplus food to area soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need, according to a news release.

The Roseville location will employ about 150 full- and part-time staffers.

More recently Chick-fil-A announced a significant investment and expansion of its Michigan footprint. The fast-food giant expects to add more than two dozen locations in metro Detroit and statewide. Across these new Michigan locations, Chick-fil-A expects to create 2,500 jobs.

Chick-fil-A operates nearly 30 restaurants across the state and about a dozen in metro Detroit, from Woodhaven to Novi to Shelby Township.

A downtown Detroit location is slated to open and other expected openings are in Chesterfield Township and Taylor.

Chick-fil-A, a cult-like favorite — and oft-criticized for its past donations to anti- LGBTQ+ causes) — ranks as a popular fast-food chain with consumers. For the 10th year straight, the chain remained in the top spot for fast food on the American Customer Satisfaction Index’s 2024 report released last June. The family-owned Chick-fil-A was founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy and is headquartered in Atlanta. There are more than 3,000 Chick-fil-A locations across 48 states and in Canada and Puerto Rico, according to chick-fil-a.com.
